Let’s meet downtown in early afternoon. Start a small walking tour through the heart of the city until you arrive to the traditional Norwegian restaurant in order to taste some Christmas dishes. After a decent meal we will continue our walk across the Christmas market where you will warm a bit with some traditional Norwegian mulled wine, gløgg.
Our next stop is going to be a food hall where you’ll have a chance to try Norwegian cheeses while listening to the story behind the making. We will end the tour in a local bar with three types of Norwegian beer and a Scandinavian hard spirit.
During the tour the guide will show you some other sides of the city so that you can see more than just the central area of Oslo. The Winter Tour is a great way to get involved with locals and learn about Norway’s gastronomy culture. By the end of the tour you will have knowledge about Norwegian Christmas food, historical drinks and the various types of Christmas markets.
Feel, see, taste and explore Oslo Cozy Winter.
